El Dorado Restaurant in Alamo

Ate a botana from here with my wife and we loved it, so much food. It was delicious. My mouth watered as i ate the fajitas. Then i realized i forgot to take pictures. So we decided to come back for breakfast to see if it was as good as the reviews say... well, we devoured our tacos in full monster mode, i had never eaten so fast before... then it hit me. I forgot to take the pictures again. Highly recommend. We'll be coming back to hopefully get some pictures.Edit: came back for more breakfast and took pictures, everything was delicious but one taco, a ham and egg taco. Something tasted off, almost like if i was eating banana. I can't let that be the reason i drop stars. Everything else was amazing.

Very relaxed restaurant. Had a lot to talk about and weren't rushed. Pork chop dinner very tender----ate it all! Service--5 star also! Will be back!

The food tastes like they use the cheapest ingredients.

Nice place. But 1st,...the entrance door is on side. Food was great n do was the service. Reasonable prices n plenty of parking. Well decorated on the inside with plenty of seating space for 6 and 12 people.

Very poor in the amount of chips n beans received, website has one thing . and what we got was total different.

We loved the botana platter for two. It was just enough for two big guys and probably enough for 4 average size people. It comes with a nice serving of rice, beans and guacamole , but very few chips and cheese. We also got two onion rings and two fried zucchini. We had beer with our lunch and it was very cold, so that was a plus. The wait staff was attentive and the place was nice and cool. Very comfortable.

Good Mexican food. I always order their lunch specials. Food is served promptly during lunch hours.

El Dorado, today, actually surprised us. It was not too busy (2:30 pm), the food was fresh and very well made. Our waitress was very nice and attentive and every bit of our order was correct. Service was quick and food was really good.

They need to work on the lighting it's too dark especially if you have trouble seeing you really can't see the menu too good but the food is good

The medium shrimp cocktail was delicious but was more like a small size. The chimichangas was fabulous and the portions was very generous, would have been enough for two if my husband was the sharing kind.

We love going to El Dorado. They have the best choices for the best price & the service is unmatched. It's always a pleasure to eat there. Definitely 5 🌟 for sure.

Waitress was bad. Food served at different times and no silverware. Had to ask for coffee. Will not be going back.

Complimentary chips come with cheese and salsa. Ask for the green one, it's spicier. The food was very good. It's a nice place. Note that you can't exchange your baked potatoes for avocado

Service wasn't the greatest. We waited a while before the manager came over and took our order. Two other tables complained as well. Food was pretty good when we finally ate. Hope service improves.

Had the Botana for 2. There was enough to take some of it home. Delicious chicken and I have always loved the fried squash.

It's all good, breakfast, lunch and even dinner. It's good Mexican food and great service.

Food was good. Service ok but I ordered a beverage but didn't get it until I asked again. Others were seated and served before I got my beverage. I have been a server so for me, this was not acceptable.

Always plenty of seating. Easy location to find, plenty of parking. Price is reasonable. Serves breakfast. Food is very good.

Best restaurant is one of the best restaurants in 25 miles I have eaten here breakfast lunch and dinner and haven't Never Been So Satisfied I know the owner personally he's a very down-to-earth person talk to anybody very friendly he will make sure his staff takes very good care of you I have first-hand knowledge

Chicken enchiladas with mole poblano are excellent! Our waiter was excellent, as well.
